Flower Delivery in Darlington

Our delivery charges are calculated automatically during checkout and are broken down into three simple zones:

• Zone 1 (£5.50): Broadly speaking, this zone covers the DL3 (including West Park) and DL1 areas of Darlington.
• Zone 2 (£6.75): This zone covers the villages immediately surrounding the perimeter of Darlington, such as Newton Aycliffe, Shildon, Middleton St. George, Hurworth, Neasham, and Croft-on-Tees.
• Zone 3 (£7.45): This zone covers the areas slightly further afield, including West Auckland, Bishop Auckland, Spennymoor, Ferryhill, Chilton, Dalton-on-Tees, Barton, Gilling West, and Catterick.

The short answer is: no, we don't. We prefer to be completely transparent about our delivery charges, rather than claiming it is free and secretly bundling the cost into the price of your flowers. Our drivers are employed directly by us, and our vans need fuel, insurance, tax, and maintenance. Our modest delivery charges simply cover the true cost of providing a reliable, local delivery service with dedicated staff and vehicles.

Our drivers are on the road for most of the day. Bouquet deliveries typically take place between 10am and 3pm, but they can be earlier or later depending on the day's schedule. To be as time and fuel-efficient as possible, we deliver on a strict logistical route basis. During peak periods (like Christmas Eve, Valentine's Day and Mother's Day), our delivery times can be as early as 8am and as late as 6pm.

While we always do our absolute best to accommodate specific delivery requests, we cannot guarantee exact time slots. You can request an AM or PM delivery in the 'Any special requests?' box during checkout, and we will try our hardest to make it happen!

If no one is home to accept the delivery, our drivers will always try to leave your beautiful blooms in a secure, safe place on the property or with a friendly neighbour. If neither of these options is available, the flowers will be brought safely back to our Cockerton shop. In all cases, we will pop a calling card through the door to let the recipient know exactly where their flowers are or to ask them to give us a quick ring to rearrange.

Usually, no. Our shop is closed on Sundays, so we do not offer standard Sunday delivery. There are, of course, a few massive exceptions! We absolutely deliver on Mothering Sunday, and we also open our delivery books if Valentine's Day or Christmas Eve happens to fall on a Sunday.

To ensure your blooms are perfectly prepped, here is how our collection timings work:

• Same-Day Orders: If you are ordering for collection today, please allow two hours from placing your order for our team to hand-craft your flowers.
• Advanced Orders: If you placed your order well in advance, or while the shop was open the day before, your beautiful blooms will be ready to collect from 9am on your chosen date.
• Weekend Orders for Monday: If you place an order over the weekend while our shop is closed, your Monday collection will be ready from 11am.

Funeral flowers take the absolute utmost priority every single morning. We aim to deliver your floral tributes directly to the funeral director a minimum of two hours before the scheduled service time. If the flowers are required earlier than this, please let us know using the 'Any special requests?' box when ordering. Occasionally, it is necessary to deliver the flowers to the funeral director the afternoon before the service, but we make all prior arrangements with them directly to ensure everything runs smoothly.
